KAMIC Group acquires polynom, a Swiss-British company group in emergency lighting

Establishment in Switzerland, new country of operation for KAMIC Group

KAMIC Group has acquired all shares in polynom AG with the wholly owned subsidiaries Sander Elektronik AG, Lampec AG, P4 Limited and Lux Box Lighting Technology Ltd. The sellers are CEO Michel Noé and Erika Noé.

polynom AG, headquartered in Böttstein, Switzerland, is the parent company of a group of companies with more than 50 years of experience in developing, manufacturing and selling high-quality emergency lighting products. The operational activities are currently conducted in four subsidiaries, two of which are in Switzerland and two in the UK. Sander Elektronik develops and manufactures components for emergency lighting while Lampec sells advanced components to manufacturers of emergency lighting products. In the UK, Lux Box Lighting operates as a sales company while P4 is a leading full-service supplier of self-testing emergency lighting systems.

The two UK subsidiaries operate from Fakenham, just west of Norwich, while the Swiss Sander Elektronik and Lampec are based in Böttstein, as is the parent company. In total, the group has around 90 employees and annual sales of around CHF 15 million (SEK 175 million).

polynom is now part of KAMIC Group’s Installation business area under the leadership of Johan Karlsson, who comments: “The polynom companies have a niche product offering and employees with deep technical expertise, and there are few competitors who can deliver products of equally high quality. With polynom in the business area, we get a real broadening and strengthening of our existing offer in evacuation technology and emergency lighting.”

All executives in the polynom group will continue in their respective roles after the ownership change. CEO and former owner Michel Noé comments on the deal: “We are very pleased to join KAMIC Group. We see a bright future for the polynom companies and in KAMIC Group we get a financially stable and long-term owner who can support us with contacts, expertise and tools for continued business development.”
